Phlebotomist

The University of Kansas Health System Phlebotomist is responsible for interpreting orders for lab work, performing blood draws, and ensuring patient safety and quality specimen collection. The Phlebotomist must be able to interpret orders, accurately identify correct tube types, and follow regulatory and hospital standards.

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Less than 1 year 6 months experience in an internal phlebotomy training program
• 1 or more years experience in specimen collection and processing
• completion of an external phlebotomy program
• Fluent English
• Valid driver's license
