Job Description
The Phlebotomist is responsible for interpreting orders for lab work, performing blood draws, and collecting specimens. They must interpret orders, identify correct tube types, and follow regulatory and hospital standards. The Phlebotomist must also provide patient care, troubleshoot difficult orders, and assist with troubleshooting missing specimens.
Requirements
- High School Graduate
- Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) - American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP)
