Research Engineering/Scientist Associate I, Nuclear Engineering Teaching Laboratory

As a Research Engineering/Scientist Associate I, provides support of foundational research developed in the Nuclear & Applied Research Group as well as from other research groups at UT Austin. Conducts entry-level engineering and scientific research in applied robotics for use in extreme environments, particularly in the nuclear, oil and gas industries, and/or military applications. Performs various tasks including evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering and scientific techniques, documenting observations and measurements, and communicating with technical and non-technical personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to travel up to 10% to work with project stakeholders
