Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Texas Teacher Certification in Science 7-12
- At least two years of experience teaching secondary science courses in Texas public schools
- Experience designing instruction and assessments for high school science courses
- Comprehensive understanding of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), STAAR expectations, and best practices in mathematics instruction, lesson design, tutoring, and assessment
- Experience implementing support for a variety of student group needs, at-risk, emergent bilingual, Gifted/Talented, adult learners, 504, and special education
- Successful experience supporting students to achieve targeted objectives and tracking and reporting student data
- Experience with online instruction
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task with high level of proficiency
- Professional demeanor
- Advanced technology skills for design and delivery of online instruction or online tutoring
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
