The Live Sound Engineer is responsible for assisting with sound setup, operation, and maintenance for concerts and shows, working closely with stage and operations personnel to achieve high artistic standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience running sound and mixing wireless microphones for musical productions
- Experience in basic theatrical audio equipment, including mixing consoles, show control software, Mac computers, and wireless microphone setup
- Ability to read musical score
- College degree in technical theater or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong expertise in programming and mixing sound for musical theatre
- Proficiency with wireless microphones
- Ability to safely rig loudspeakers at heights above 6 feet
- Ability to safely work with and wiring electrical connectors
- Proficiency in closed-circuit video systems and Clear-Com systems preferred
