Job Description
The Teaching Artist is a creative and engaging art educator who will co-plan, write, and implement interactive workshops for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade audiences during the school week at the High Museum of Art.
Requirements
- B.A in Education, Fine Arts, Art History, or Humanities
- Experience working with children in a camp, classroom, or other educational setting
- Art studio experience
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills, including customer service
- Strong facilitation skills and experience leading workshops with diverse learners
- Ability to communicate effectively with Museum staff, volunteers, members, students, and teachers in English
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish preferred
