American Sign Language Interpreter ASL

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a full-time, on-site American Sign Language Interpreter for a school-based position in Albemarle, NC. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Requirements

• American Sign Language Interpretation Certification
• EIPA score (3.5+)
• Passing written test
• Documentation submitted to CDE
• Fluency in ASL and English
• RID certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf)
• Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred
• Interpreter Training Program (ITP) or ASL-English interpreting degree
• Experience interpreting in K-12 classrooms
• Knowledge of IDEA and IEP processes
• Background check and fingerprinting
