Job Description
TheraPeds Partners is seeking a full-time, on-site American Sign Language Interpreter for a school-based position. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs. Responsibilities include providing ASL services to students in the classroom setting and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- American Sign Language Interpretation Certification
- EIPA score (3.5+)
- RID certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf)
- Associate or bachelor's degree, preferred
- Interpreter Training Program (ITP) or ASL-English interpreting degree
- Experience interpreting in K-12 classrooms
- Knowledge of IDEA and IEP processes
- Background check and fingerprinting
