Thesis is seeking an Associate Director, Amazon & Retail Search to take full ownership of our presence across Amazon, Google Shopping, and retail search, and build these into best-in-class, high-growth engines for the business. This is a hands-on operator role with real P&L ownership, requiring 5+ years of hands-on experience in Amazon, retail search, or performance search marketing, with a track record of driving measurable growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Amazon, retail search, or performance search marketing
- Deep, native fluency in Seller Central and/or Vendor Central
- Strong command of Google Shopping including campaign management, product feed optimization, and performance analytics
- A unified search mindset: you understand how keyword strategy, search intent, and content optimization connect across Amazon and Google, and you use that thinking to your advantage
- Experience managing external agency partners and get the best out of an agency relationship
- Proven track record of building or turning around a winning channel, not just maintaining one
- Analytical mindset with the ability to build dashboards, interpret data, and make confident decisions based on numbers
- Experience managing inventory forecasting and working closely with supply chain or operations teams
- Familiarity with tools like Helium 10, DataHawk, Profitero, Google Merchant Center, or similar platforms
- Comfortable being scrappy, you don't need a large team beneath you to get results; you roll up your sleeves and make things happen
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate search and marketplace complexity into clear updates for leadership
