Thiess is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner to support mining operations by optimizing equipment reliability, planning, and coordinating electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and managing parts inventory to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ planning experience in electrical planning for mining maintenance activities to include power distribution, large industrial motors and associated control systems
- Strong knowledge of fixed plant/mobile maintenance processing and associated maintenance processes in a surface mine operation
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within fixed plant or mobile assets
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fixed plant equipment maintenance – crushing, material handling, mill/processing- or mobile maintenance equipment (haul trucks, excavators, drillers, support equipment)
- Surface mining experience
- Expertise in predictive and preventative maintenance techniques
- Experience with resource allocation and optimizing maintenance workforce efficiency
- Familiar with Office 365, including strong Excel skills and MS Project skills
- SAP software experience required
- Use of Cat SIS and other OEM parts manuals
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while being self-motivated and proactive
- Ability to analyze equipment and processing performance data to identify trends and improvement areas
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Authorization to work lawfully in the USA without sponsorship from Thiess
- Must be fluent in the English language
