Responsible for inventory head count, maintaining records, processing cattle for sale, and observing animals for signs of injury and illness. Majority of work is outdoor with some exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Requirements
- Count cattle for inventory head count
- Maintain records of deceases, sold, and moved cows
- Process cattle for sale
- Keep and maintain accurate records of all daily activities for maternity fresh cow and hospital
- Coordinate and communicate cattle movements with Breeders, Feeders, and Milkers
- Observe animals to detect signs of injury and illness
- Provide treatments for minor injuries ailments
- Consult with Lead or Manager for treatment of serious injuries and illness
- Ability to understand and follow treatment procedures
- Attend required company meetings and training
- Participate in constructive discussion
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
- Conduct self in the presence of customers and community
- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
