Thumbtack helps millions of people confidently care for their homes. As Director, Accounting, you will lead a team of 10 across the United States and the Philippines, overseeing General Accounting, Revenue Accounting, and Accounts Payable. You will partner closely with Finance, Procurement, Payroll, Legal, Tax, Product, and Engineering to ensure accurate reporting and scalable financial operations across the business.
Requirements
- 10 to 15+ years of experience, preferably including public accounting firm and publicly traded-company experience.
- Experience leading teams, and preferably distributed and international teams, with a track record of building scalable, high-performing organizations.
- Strong operational accounting experience, and driving process improvements including systems selection and implementation, and preferably a passion for AI and experience with Netsuite.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, and SOX requirements.
- US GAAP technical accounting fluency, and preferably a CPA.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), and passion for cross functional influencing.
- A balance of operational rigor and strategic thinking, with the ability to scale processes for long-term success.
