Job Description
Thumbtack is hiring a Director, Accounting to lead a team of 10 across the US and the Philippines, overseeing General Accounting, Revenue Accounting, and Accounts Payable. The role involves building a scalable operating model, driving public-company readiness, and strengthening internal controls.
Requirements
- 10 to 15+ years of experience in public accounting firm and publicly traded-company experience
- Experience leading teams, and preferably distributed and international teams
- Strong operational accounting experience, and driving process improvements
- Strong understanding of internal controls, and SOX requirements
- US GAAP technical accounting fluency, and preferably a CPA
