Senior Web Developer

Tipalti is seeking a Senior Web Developer to own architecture direction, enforce coding standards, drive performance excellence, and accelerate high-quality feature delivery. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of professional web development experience, with 4+ years of hands-on WordPress/PHP development at scale. They will also have a strong grasp of code architecture principles, a proven record of improving page performance, and experience conducting rigorous code reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years professional web development experience
• 4+ years hands-on WordPress/PHP development at scale
• Deep proficiency in PHP, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS
• Proven record of improving page performance and Core Web Vitals on marketing or content-heavy sites
• Testing mindset: comfortable with unit (PHPUnit), integration, and end-to-end (Playwright or similar) test strategies
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving cross-browser/front-end compatibility issues
• Experience conducting rigorous code reviews and enforcing coding standards
• Ability to coordinate and technically lead contractors
