Job Description
The TMX group of companies is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive technical excellence in data engineering, statistical techniques, and domain-specific applications. The role will be responsible for leading the technical direction of the data engineering function, designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborating with the platform team to productionalize models and integrate data streams into user-facing products.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering, backend software engineering, or a related field
- Expert-level SQL
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as AWS Redshift and orchestration tools
- Well-practiced communication skills
- Strong people leadership experience
- Ambitious, driven, down-to-earth, and always open to new ideas and technologies
