Senior Architect (Engineering Enablement)

Travelers is seeking a Senior Architect to join our organization as we grow and transform our Enterprise Technology Solutions organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in technology related field or equivalent, with 8 years of architecture experience
• Currently active in DevSecOps platform architecture with deep hands-on experience
• Expert knowledge of CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CDK)
• Deep understanding of artifact management, secrets management, supply chain security
• Current AWS cloud architecture certification or equivalent depth
• Software engineering background with ability to evaluate approaches and guide implementation
• Understanding of agentic solution architectures and AI-assisted engineering workflows
• Strong architecture and recent hands-on engineering experience with modern technologies
• Successfully architected large scale technology initiatives
• Leadership & Influence
• Strategic & Business Acumen
• Insurance technology experience preferred
• Understanding of value creation and business capability models
• Balance customer advocacy with enterprise governance (audit, legal, cyber, infrastructure)
• Experience in identifying and analyzing current/future problems and opportunities, evaluating information to understand root causes, and exploring alternative solutions for effective decision-making
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with teammates to achieve mutually responsible results
• Extensive experience exercising sound judgment, making decisions and committing to a position
• Strong and effective verbal, written and listening communication skills
