Job Description
The Substitute Cook will provide healthy meals for children, staff, and volunteers at Head Start. This role involves preparing nutritious meals, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and maintaining accurate records. The cook is responsible for preparation, portion control, sanitation, and adhering to Head Start and state nutrition guidelines.
Requirements
- Direct the preparation of approximately 20-100 meals a day.
- Serve meals with high nutrient and low-fat, low-salt and low-sugar content.
- Knowledgeable on correct food preparation procedures.
- Plan and complete routine cleaning maintenance of kitchen and equipment.
