The Bereavement Coordinator functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team under the supervision of the Bereavement Supervisor to provide comprehensive bereavement care to promote emotional well-being.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Child Development or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS)
- Training in areas of life-threatening and chronic illness, grief, and loss
- Previous experience in grief counseling or working with individuals who have experienced loss
- Experience in the healthcare setting, hospice, home health, community care, hospital, etc.
- Ability to report to the assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance
