Plastics B Operator- 3rd Shift

The B Operator needs to run plastic machines, assist A Operators with setups, machine adjustments, and daily activities, while complying with safety, quality, and production schedules.

Requirements

• Review work schedule to make sure of what jobs are to be started or completed.
• Sets up machine and checks mold, air and water lines, and other adjustments to minimize safety hazards and help achieve highest level of quality production possible.
• Test run first few pieces for quality check and make adjustments as required to achieve full production capacity as quickly as possible.
• Monitors quality of parts regularly to minimize time-consuming sorting, or waste.
• Monitors production rates to see that they meet established standards.
• Notifies Process Engineer, Manufacturing Coordinator and/or Manufacturing Manager of recurring problems promptly.
• Keeps accurate time and job records.
• Provides information to the A operator about any equipment, tool, or running issue.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost time accidents.
• Follows established safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Maintains a good attendance record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
