Responsible for developing a curriculum and teaching within the academic skill areas of expertise in high school, managing student assessment, and collaborating with staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
- One year of teaching experience.
- One year of experience in direct service to low income and/or first-generation students.
- Expertise in academic area of instruction and use of classroom technology.
- Skill in the development of curriculum that clearly outlines the course requirements, rationale, goals, and objectives.
- Proficient in implementing strategies and systems for the management, assessment and evaluation of student learning.
- Strong understanding of the academic and social barriers faced by low-income and potential first-generation students.
- Ability to create a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Versatility in delivery of instructional lessons.
- Flexibility and comfortable in implementing a differentiated curriculum.
- Willingness and enthusiasm for teaching high school students.
- Teaching Certification in subject of academic instruction.
