The Director of Supply Chain plays a critical role in leading the strategic direction and building consistent tools and processes for the supply chain function. This leader ensures cross-functional alignment between commercial, operations, and finance teams to enable efficient supply chain planning and execution.
Requirements
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies for procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and logistics.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead the monthly S&OP process to ensure alignment between demand, supply, inventory, and financial goals.
- Forecasting & Demand Planning: Collaborate with commercial, operations, and finance teams to develop accurate, data-driven demand forecasts and sales projections.
- Procurement: Manage procurement of metal and other direct materials. Collaborate with global metal procurement teams to optimize the procurement process.
- Inventory Optimization: Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels while balancing service levels, carrying costs, and cash flow, and mitigating stockouts.
- Logistics and Distribution: Support transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery to customers.
- Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- System Transformation and Tools: Evaluate, implement, and leverage technology solutions such as planning and supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools to enhance supply chain visibility, agility, and efficiency.
- Data analysis and Insights: Utilize analytical tools and techniques to extract actionable insights from data, driving continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, demand planning, inventory management, and resource allocation.
- Organizational Development & Continuous Improvement: Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team with clear roles, responsibilities, and career paths. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and results orientation.
