Job Description
Sundance Consultants, part of True Environmental, seeks a Temporary Field Technician to conduct archaeological fieldwork across the Western United States. This on-call position involves pedestrian surveys, data collection, artifact identification, and recording, requiring fieldwork in diverse terrain. Residence in Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, or New Mexico is preferred. The firm offers environmental remediation, urban planning, engineering, and resource extraction services with over 450 professionals in 20 U.S. offices.
Requirements
- Conducting archaeological pedestrian surveys
- Archaeological data collection (GPS, photographs, site forms, site sketch, artifact sketch)
- Subsurface testing or artifact identification
- Measuring and fully recording artifacts
- Preparing high-quality field notes
- Working as a team member, or independently
- Other duties as requested
