Job Description
Texas Woman’s University is seeking a tenure-track Associate Professor in Marriage & Family Therapy to join its School of Human Sciences. The position offers a full-time commitment in a 9-month appointment starting in August 2026, with a COAMFTE-Accredited faculty position in a multidisciplinary environment focused on graduate-level curriculum. The role involves teaching, research, service, and community engagement.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy (preferably from a COAMFTE accredited program)
- Eligible for MFT licensure in Texas
- Documented professional MFT identity
- AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate designation
- Evidence of successful teaching experience
- Demonstrated research agenda and record of publications in scholarly journals
- Ability to teach doctoral level quantitative and qualitative research courses
- Established research agenda and record of publications in MFT
- Success in grant writing and securing external funding
- Experience in successfully mentoring graduate students
- Experience with COAMFTE accreditation reports and requirements
