Credit Manager - Merchant & Payments Risk

We're seeking a Credit Manager to join our Risk Management & Compliance function, reporting to the Senior Credit Portfolio Manager. You'll be responsible for risk management of U.S. Bank Europe's merchant and payments portfolios, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, strategy, and industry requirements. This is a hybrid/flexible schedule role, with in-office expectation of 3+ days/week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in credit risk management within a financial institution, preferably covering commercial payments products in business banking or corporate portfolios.
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expert understanding of credit risk, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with financial analysis, or a professional certification such as FRM, CFA, ACA/ACCA or similar.
