Job Description
This Relay Field Engineer position involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical distribution equipment (breakers, transformers, switches, etc.). The engineer will contribute to a safe working environment and ensure the success of projects. Travel is required, both local, regional, and potentially international. The role also includes installation and maintenance of equipment and participation in ongoing training.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant electrical experience
- Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization
- Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment
- Experience with test equipment such as Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke meters
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs
