Job Description
The VC Lead Specialist will lead high-level BIM modeling and coordination of mechanical systems, translate contract drawings into accurate Revit models, and identify design conflicts and generate RFIs for resolution. The role requires deep technical expertise in mechanical systems, a fabrication-level mindset, and advanced proficiency with BIM software tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical (HVAC) construction, drafting, or virtual construction
- Background in HVAC mechanical systems with field installation experience
- Fabrication-level knowledge is a plus, but not required
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and other BIM tools (Navisworks, BIM 360 a plus)
- Solid understanding of HVAC system design and constructability principles
- Strong skills in reading construction documents, generating RFIs, and coordinating with trades
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail
