Job Description
The Senior Director of Transportation & Fleet serves as the enterprise leader for all over the road freight, last mile delivery execution, and fleet lifecycle management across a national distribution network. This role shapes the long term transportation vision, drives operational excellence, and ensures the companyâs transportation network operates with maximum efficiency, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain within a large, multi-site organization.
- Deep expertise in over-the-road freight, last-mile delivery, and fleet management.
- Proven success leading large-scale transportation networks and multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with experience using transportation modeling and optimization tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive level.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, fleet compliance, and safety programs.
- Bachelorâs degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
