Senior/Expert Technical Artist (Characters) (F/H/NB)

Ubisoft is a global video game company seeking a Senior/Expert Technical Character Artist for a full-time position in Paris. The role involves contributing to the visual and technical development of characters in a AAA universe, designing and implementing robust technical solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Solid expertise in creating, integrating, and optimizing 3D characters in a game engine
• Excellent mastery of real-time shaders and rendering principles applied to characters
• Very good scripting skills in Python, especially for Houdini, Maya, or 3ds Max
• Very good understanding of character artistic pipelines and their technical constraints
• Master of Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Maya, 3DS Max, and Blender
• Confirmed experience in character rigging, including collaboration with animation and deformation systems
• Ability to analyze, resolve, and debug complex technical problems independently
• Developed artistic sense and attention to visual quality and polish
• Excellent communication skills (French/English), with a collaborative and proactive approach
