Ulbrich is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer/Metallurgist to develop and improve manufacturing processes for round, flat, and shaped wire profiles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, metallurgy, and problem-solving, with experience in a metal production environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy/Materials Science, Mechanical or Industrial
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment
- 2 years of experience in a metal production environment preferred
- Experience with drawing, rolling, shaping, or annealing stainless steel wire
- Experience with laboratory equipment and procedures
- Familiarity with OEE software and data analysis and analytics
- Excellent technical skills, including strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, creativity, understanding of manufacturing processes, and project management skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, required
- Experience working directly with customers and interpreting prints and industry specifications
- Intermediate computer skills, proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks in 2D
- Knowledgeable of Tool & Die terminology and Lean Manufacturing concepts
