Manufacturing Process Engineer / Metallurgist

Ulbrich is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer/Metallurgist to develop and improve manufacturing processes for round, flat, and shaped wire profiles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, metallurgy, and problem-solving, with experience in a metal production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy/Materials Science, Mechanical or Industrial
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment
• 2 years of experience in a metal production environment preferred
• Experience with drawing, rolling, shaping, or annealing stainless steel wire
• Experience with laboratory equipment and procedures
• Familiarity with OEE software and data analysis and analytics
• Excellent technical skills, including strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, creativity, understanding of manufacturing processes, and project management skills
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, required
• Experience working directly with customers and interpreting prints and industry specifications
• Intermediate computer skills, proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks in 2D
• Knowledgeable of Tool & Die terminology and Lean Manufacturing concepts
