Pharmacist

UMC Staff Pharmacist duties include optimizing patient outcomes by providing the safest and highest quality of care using the most cost-effective and clinically effective means. The pharmacist will work as a team with other healthcare professionals and provide medication information and education to healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Registration and licensure as a registered pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy within the first 90 days of employment
• Good verbal communication skills
• A working knowledge of the hospital organization; a general knowledge of nursing and pharmacy theory, practice, and regulations
