Job Description
We are looking for a Refining Engineer to troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and manage refining processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Chemistry or Chemical engineering degree and 3-4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Chemistry or Chemical engineering
- 3-4 years in chemical manufacturing
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Strong mechanical skills
- Health and safety training is an asset
- Ability to work safely in a hot environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good computer skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) – able to do regular reporting
- Understanding of pumps
- Effective both when working on their own and when part of a team
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision once an assignment is fully understood
- Results oriented and focused on deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Understanding of WHMIS, MSDS etc.
