Job Description
The National Coordinator will oversee the implementation of the GEF Small Grants Programme at the country level and coordinate the National Steering Committee. They will be responsible for managing the SGP Country Programme team, promoting teamwork, and ensuring effective management of the programme. The incumbent will also be responsible for resource mobilization, partnerships, and knowledge management, as well as monitoring and progress controls.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Environmental or Natural Resource Management, Economy, Public Policy, Law, Environmental Economics/Management, Business Administration or a related field is required.
- Two years of relevant professional experience in managing environment / natural resource management projects / initiatives at national or local levels is required for applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required.
- Fluency in UN language and the national language of the duty station is required.
