Job Description
The Conference Technician is responsible for providing technical support for conferences and meetings at the Vienna International Centre. This includes operating conference and simultaneous interpretation equipment, recording speeches, and maintaining logbooks. The incumbent also assists interpreters, coordinates with other BMS units, and prepares conference rooms for smooth technical operation.
Requirements
- Completed higher technical education (e.g. HTL) in electronics and communication engineering, or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a conference/communication technician (or 3 years with a first/second-level university degree)
- Experience in utilizing modern measuring instruments and special tools of the work area
- Fluency in German and English
