Assistant Professor, Medical Laboratory Sciences

The Michener Institute is seeking an Assistant Professor, Medical Laboratory Sciences to provide academic leadership, foster an effective learning environment, and uphold professional, provincial, and national standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Lab disciplines, teaching experience, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Requirements

• MLT with a minimum of six years' experience with in-depth expertise in one or more Core Lab disciplines
• Undergraduate degree required
• Experience working/teaching in field within last 12 months preferred
• Certification by, and membership in, relevant professional association(s) required
• Licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure with College of Medical Laboratory Technologists Ontario required
• Training and experience in adult education desired
• Skill in various teaching approaches and innovations including online/hybrid delivery modes
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with MS Office, presentation and curriculum design software
• Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire
