The University of Alabama at Birmingham's Department of Pathology, in collaboration with the MSM/TU/UAB O'CCC Partnership, offers a two-year, intensive summer research training program for rising sophomore undergraduates. The program runs for eight weeks each summer, providing mentored research experiences in cancer medicine, basic cancer biology, and health disparities. By combining expertise from UAB, the Medical School of the University of Alabama, and the University of Texas, the partnership delivers a unique, interdisciplinary platform that equips early-career scholars with hands-on exposure to cutting-edge oncology research and a deep understanding of disparities in patient outcomes. This distinctive blend of institutional collaboration, focus on both basic and translational cancer science, and commitment to addressing health inequities positions the program as a leading launchpad for future leaders in oncology research.
The Program Coordinator II will join the Medical Education and Student Services department and coordinate administrative, educational, enrollment and logistical support for medical students at the Huntsville Campus.
