Job Description
The University of Auckland is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert advice on legislation, governance, and regulatory compliance, working on a wide range of matters including public law, governance, and institutional integrity.
Requirements
- Advising on legislation relevant to the tertiary sector
- Supporting governance processes and providing legal advice to Council and committees
- Managing responses to oversight bodies
- Partnering with senior leaders to identify legal risks and enable informed decision-making
- Contributing to legal frameworks, policy development, and continuous improvement
