The Library Technical Assistant II (LTA II) is responsible for the operation of the LibTech public service desk, providing technology support and assistance to patrons. The LTA II will use the Alma Library Services Platform to process material requests and provide basic to intermediate technology assistance. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience.
Requirements
- Use the Alma Library Services Platform to process all material and material requests.
- Field basic technology complaints and questions.
- Inspect and maintain technology materials for damage and proper operation.
- Assist with the hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating of student assistants working the LibTech service desk.
- Provide advanced instruction and support on Microsoft Office, public scanners, microform scanners, and public printing.
- Assist in department projects such as LibTech inventory labeling, maintenance, and repairs.
- Log statistics for desk questions and duties performed.
