Plans Examiner I

The UCF Building Department is looking for a Plans Examiner I to perform code reviews and inspections in University facilities in compliance with the Florida Building Code.

Requirements

• Review construction plans and specifications for compliance with adopted building, mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical codes
• Conduct on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and codes
• Document plan review comments, inspection results, violations, and corrections using permit tracking software
• Approve construction materials, methods, and installations to ensure compliance with adopted codes and standards
