Provides patient care under the direction of a licensed physician, performing technical procedures and making initial diagnoses. Assists in surgery and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from a Physician Assistant Training Program approved by the Board of Physician Quality Assurance
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification
- Licensure by Maryland State Board of Physicians as a Physician’s Assistant
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and BLS certification
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
