Assistant Director, Volunteer Service & Leadership Development

The Assistant Director of the Butler Center for Volunteer Service and Leadership Development is responsible for managing the student leadership development process, overseeing student organizations, and designing programs to promote civic participation and leadership development among students. The role involves supervising student employees, managing budgets, and working closely with community partners and university departments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in higher education or higher preferred
• Two (2) years of progressive related experience in Higher Education student affairs and/or leadership development/community service/civic engagement
• Ability to be productive in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional work environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven adaptability, flexibility, and creativity
• Ability to lead, motivate, direct, and communicate with all levels of employees
