UHT - Environmental Services Technician PRN (U)

The University of Miami is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Technician to clean and maintain cleanliness in assigned patient care ancillary areas within the hospital and hospital properties. The incumbent will remove biomedical waste, regular waste, and soiled linen, and move equipment and office furniture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year experience as a housekeeper in the hotel/motel commercial/industrial sanitation or health care related field
• Pleasant attitude and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Proficient in the operation of cleaning equipment and working knowledge of cleaning chemicals
• Ability to operate and adjust machines or equipment
• Ability to monitor gauges on dials
• Ability to communicate with others via telephone
• Ability to visually assess cleanliness of assigned areas
• Ability to comprehend and analyze information
• Ability to coordinate the sequence of operations for a process
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
