Assistant Professor (Practice) in Social Work

The university is seeking an Assistant Professor (Practice) in Social Work with a background in social work and experience as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) to teach and support students in the Social Work Programme. The role involves contributing to exceptional student experience through teaching, practice, knowledge exchange, scholarship, and business and enterprise engagement activity.

Requirements

• Hold a first degree in a relevant subject and professional qualification or substantial professional experience in social work
• Be registered with Social Work England or eligible/willing to register
• Demonstrate contemporary expert specialist knowledge and subject expertise within the relevant discipline/practice areas including AMHP
• Have experience of designing, delivering, assessing, and evaluating high quality teaching and learning practice
• Be qualified and practice experienced as Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs)
