Research Grants Finance Officer - Research Strategy and Services - 95399 - Grade 6

The Research Grants Finance Officer plays a key role in supporting academic colleagues to deliver successful, well-managed research projects. The postholder will provide high-quality financial administration, build positive relationships with academic colleagues, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualifications)
• Evidence of numeracy and literacy
• Knowledge of the UK research funding ecosystem, key research funders and an understanding of their processes
• Experience of engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in improving processes, service quality and/or efficiency
• Excellent analytical skills
• Budgetary monitoring and management
• Proficient IT skills, including the MS Office suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of self-motivation and personal accountability
