Job Description
Upper Canada Child Care is seeking an Assistant Educator to join their team in Markham at the Donald Cousens PS location. The role involves ensuring operational and curriculum requirements are met, delivering a developmentally appropriate program, and supporting the organization's vision, mission, and guiding values.
Requirements
- Recent Vulnerable Sector Check
- Health assessment and record of immunization
- Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid
- Basic knowledge of the developmental needs of children
- Experience with inquiry/play based program design and implementation
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish relationships with families, coworkers, and other professionals
- Physical and emotional stamina to supervise children
- Ability to use computer systems and programs
