Job Description
UPSIDE Foods is seeking a Sr. Technical Accountant to join their team in Emeryville, CA. The role involves researching and interpreting accounting literature, developing technical accounting memos, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of U.S. GAAP and delivery of high-quality financial reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience including two years in public accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP with experience researching and applying FASB ASC guidance and evaluating Big 4 firm interpretations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into clear recommendations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP required, Microsoft Business Central a plus
- Technical accounting experience with CPG a plus
- CPA, Chartered Accountant, and/or Big 4 Audit Experience a bonus
