Emergency Management Subject Matter Expert

Upslope Advisors is seeking an Emergency Management Subject Matter Expert to support an upcoming FEMA National Preparedness training contract. This key personnel role is a strong fit for a professional with emergency management expertise who can independently review training content, provide practical recommendations, and support high-quality preparedness programs.

Requirements

• Evaluation, consultation, guidance, and direction in specialized areas of emergency management.
• Consultation with project teams, customers, and Government officials regarding process, content, and deliverables.
• Contribution of subject matter expertise, identification of best practices, and translation of technical concepts for stakeholder use.
• Verbal and written recommendations to support course review, program improvement, and mission outcomes.
• Review of course materials and related training content for accuracy, appropriateness, and relevance.
• Participation in reviews of instructor materials, participant materials, visual presentations, handouts, examinations, and related content.
• Independent completion of assigned review work within established timelines.
• Support of continuous improvement of course review and recertification processes.
• May support research projects, educational activities, staff evaluations, and liaison efforts with partner organizations and Government agencies.
