We are seeking a Laboratory Director to join our team at Ovation Fertility in Newport Beach, California. As a Laboratory Director, you will be responsible for leading the laboratory team, ensuring high-quality results, and contributing to the development of KPIs and performance metrics. You will work collaboratively with physician group partners, sharing information, best practices, and methods to improve decision making and treatment plans.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of previous experience in the field
- Current licensure or certification as a Laboratory Director issued by the state in which the laboratory is located, as required
- Consider High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) certification
- Certification by the American Board of Medical Microbiology, the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, the American Board of Bioanalysis, or the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of organization
- Communicates directly, honestly, and respectfully while avoiding being negative, complaining, or gossiping
- Demonstrated ability exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Computer literacy including Office 356, EMR, Email management, cyber security awareness, etc.
