Join a mission-critical team as an IT Support Technician, Journeyman at Schriever Space Force Base. This role is integral to ensuring the operational readiness of IT systems supporting national security. You’ll provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues, and directly contribute to maintaining system uptime and reliability.
Requirements
- Operate and maintain networked and standalone systems across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret-SCI levels.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and track IT-related issues through a government-provided trouble ticket system.
- Support Tier I, II, and III help desk functions, ensuring timely resolution of all IT-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams to isolate and resolve system faults.
- Manage user accounts for both classified and unclassified networks, including account creation, deletion, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with network procedures for provisioning and de-provisioning access on NIPRNet.
- Maintain and process User Access Request forms in accordance with established guidelines.
- Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting for Windows and Apple PCs, network printers, and software.
- Plan and execute technical refreshes of networked systems, ensuring smooth transitions and continued functionality.
- Provide technical support for applications and hardware used within the facility, ensuring systems remain operational at all times.
- Act as the first line of customer support, providing timely responses to walk-up, phone, and email inquiries.
- Track communication system outages, assign ticket numbers, and maintain a historical record of problem resolutions.
- Facilitate the scheduling and coordination of VTCs (Video Teleconferences) and other technical services.
