Non-Certified/Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (POOL)

Provides assistance with basic technical procedures and administering treatments as directed. Performs routine and standardized tasks in preparation for patient examinations and assists during examinations.

Requirements

• Basic ocular function tests and evaluation of pupils
• Assisting with minor surgical procedures
• Maintaining ophthalmic and surgical instruments
• Performing patient workups and documenting medical history
• Administering eye and oral medications
