UTEC, founded in 1999, is dedicated to transforming the lives of disengaged young adults aged 17-25 through intensive case management, street outreach, education, social enterprises, and gang intervention. By providing paid work experience, alternative education, and civic engagement opportunities, UTEC aims to reduce criminal involvement, enhance employability, and increase educational attainment, achieving a recidivism rate of less than 20% compared to the statewide average above 50%. UTEC's evidence-based approach and focus on holistic development make it a distinctive leader in youth empowerment.
